Instructions

General garden soil and houseplants: about 1:5 ratio of pumice to soil. A lighter ratio of 1:7 can be adequate if extra pumice is used in the bottom half of the container or garden bed.

Succulents and cacti: 1:3 ratio of pumice to soil, up to 50% for plants like Lithops or split rocks (with added nutrients like worm castings).

Plants prone to root rot: 1:4 to 1:2 ratio of pumice can be beneficial.

For planting holes: If amending an existing garden bed isn't possible, backfill the planting hole with pumice.
